The Fitting Process

Eighty percent of our customers suffer from nagging to severe pain on a daily basis.  At Total Relief Footwear, we know that your pain is very personal to you, and we make every effort to ensure the best possible fit and to provide the maximum pain relief that this footwear can provide.  We fit Z-CoiL shoes to your feet, pain issue(s), gait, and with considerations to height and weight. Our goals are to have you feeling level in Z-CoiL shoes, walk with a heel to toe gait, and to help reduce your specific pain issues.

Selecting the Appropriate Shoe
When you arrive at Total Relief Footwear, please allow 45 minutes to an hour for fitting. We will explain the design of the shoe, help you select the footwear that is most appropriate for your activities, and make sure the shoe is sized properly. Then we will ask you to spend about five minutes walking around the store to experience the “feel” of this unique footwear. While you are walking, we will check your toe room, arch support, heel fit and shoe width. We will also ask you to be specific about the pain you are experiencing so we can focus on those issues.

Customized Fitting of the Footwear
Our goal is to achieve the best fit possible. We will examine the shape of your foot and make all necessary adjustments for maximum support and comfort while you wait. We can adjust for flat feet, high arches, wide feet, bunions & corns, hammertoes, heel spurs, Morton’s Neuromas and many other conditions that can be responsible for foot pain. The shoes can also be balanced for over-pronation (rolling in) or over-supination (rolling out) as you walk. We also maintain a “Fitting Card” for all customers that documents the adjustments we have made to your footwear. If you ever need to come in for an adjustment, we have a record of your fitting history on file.

Adjustments to the Footwear
The beauty of Z-CoiL shoes is that they are extremely adjustable for the shape of your foot and provide relief for many painful conditions. If you ever experience joint pain or discomfort in your Z-CoiL shoes, you may have developed a pattern of walking that is putting too much pressure on the affected joint. In most cases, we can make adjustments to the footwear to relieve pressure on the joint.

When you purchase your Z-CoiL shoes from Total Relief Footwear, all future adjustments to the shoes are provided free of charge. Our goal is to provide the maximum amount of pain relief that the shoes can offer for our customers.
